On June 16th, the Zone 0 Regulation Advisory Committee, after an hour and a half of discussion and public comment, the chair proposed that the committee forward the April draft language to the full board the following day with a few edits requested by committee members.
On June 17th, the Board of Forestry and Fire Prevention minutes received the Zone 0 Committee report and the minutes summarized the report from its chair, “The Committee would like to thank the staff for the work that they have done under demanding timelines. The regulations that the committee hoped to move forward with this month are not yet finalized but continue to work on achieving these goals.”
The next meeting of the Board is scheduled for August 18-19, 2026 in Sacramento. The meeting agendas and reference materials are usually posted a week or so ahead of the meetings on their website.
