• Tuesday • 5-8PM • In-person •
Sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, National Night Out (NNO) is America’s night out and a time for neighbors to get together to build neighborhood spirit and unity. Research shows that when neighbors know each other, neighborhoods are safer.
Here’s a summary of OFSC’s Wildfire Preparedness and Safety information. Download and print this flyer to share at your NNO gathering.
Also free free to print/email any of our GUIDES. We also recommend the following:
- Preparedness Checklists
- Evacuation Guidelines
- Red Flag Warnings
- Ember Safety
- Adopt-a-Hydrant
- GENOAK 2-way Radio Emergency Network

The 2025 National Night Out theme is “Town Nights – Celebrating Safe Spaces in the Town.” City of Oakland staff, Oakland Fire Department and Police Department personnel and elected officials will be out roaming the neighborhoods and will visit as many parties as possible.
Organize a block party, barbeque, ice cream social, or other outdoor event that brings neighbors together.
It’s time to reconnect with neighbors and friends!
