The next meeting of the Oakland Wildfire Prevention Commission (WPC) will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 19, 2026 in City Council Chambers at Oakland City Hall, 1 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza.
The WPC serves as the public oversight body for Measure MM funding, providing an estimated $2.7 million annually to support vegetation management activities in Oakland to reduce wildfire risk.
Topics to be discussed include evacuation route planning, the Vegetation Management Plan, and City Council reporting. Nick Kordesch will be staffing this meeting in place of Daniel Hamilton for February and he’ll continue to facilitate after this month.
