“I am excited to announce that a team of Councilmembers and I have led an effort to identify funding to re-open and preserve Oakland fire stations!
Over the past few weeks, myself and Councilmembers Rebecca Kaplan and Zac Unger have worked painstakingly to identify every viable source of funding to be able to re-open two shuttered stations and prevent the closure of four additional stations that have been set to close this month due to our budget crisis.
This resolution will go before the full City Council for a vote at our meeting on Tuesday, March 4th at 3:30 PM.
