The North Hills Community Association invites Oakland and Berkeley residents to join them for a Community Comeback Picnic at Lake Temescal from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. October 17, 2021. A remembrance of those who perished in the 199 fire as well as live jazz music, local choral groups from Bentley Schools, children’s activities, food trucks — including an espresso and gelato bar! — and, because our pets are also an important part of our community, a dog costume contest and pooch parade! But if you want your pooch to be part of it, you will have to be there by noon.
