Fire-wise landscapes don’t need to be barren! Your garden can provide beauty and wildlife support, reduce the risk of fire losses, and save precious water. The Sonoma Master Gardener Program has aligned with several non-profits in Sonoma County to marry the principles of sustainable landscaping with defensible space recommendations. Join us for a presentation by Mimi Enright, Program Manager, Community Food Systems & UC Master Gardener Program of Sonoma County, to learn how to align the ecosystem services that our gardens can provide with the important aspects of being better prepared for future fire events.
