Home Hardening with Berkeley Fire Dept.

Learn about how you can protect your home and property from wildfire from home hardening experts from the Berkeley Fire Department and Diablo Firesafe Council’s Sheryl Drinkwater.

Experts on wildfire and home hardening from the Berkeley Fire Department will share what can reduce your risks and get your property in compliance with new recommendations and requirements.

Plus learn about tools you can check out from the Tool Lending Library that you can use to harden your home against wildfire.

AlCo D3 Emergency Preparedness Event

Save the Date: Emergency Preparedness Event hosted in partnership with Alameda County Supervisor Lena Tam’s Office, the Alameda County Fire Department, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services, and the City of San Leandro.

An event to inform and educate the community on how to stay ready before an emergency strikes. Join us for presentations, workshops, and a resource fair – OFSC will be participating in the resource fair (note: Alameda County District 3 includes a portion of Central/East Oakland west of 580, and some of the downtown map)

  • Free lunch (first come, first served)

*Emergency kits will be provided to the first 300 households. Limit one per household. To receive a kit, participation in all workshops is required.
