Red Flag Do’s and Don’ts

On hot, dry and windy day——Red Flag Days——avoid using mechanical equipment that can cause sparks and keep vehicles well-maintained. When you see a Red Flag flying at your neighborhood fire station or hear on the radio that there is a Red Flag Warning, you need to take extra precautions to prevent a fire.

For residents living on narrow streets, please park your car in your garage or driveway and avoid parking on the street to provide access for fire engines and other first responders in the event of a fire.

Keep this list handy for reminders about what to do and not do when Red Flag Warnings and Red Flag Days are announced.
